Working with Us

Fiduciary Female Financial Advisor

We are a great fit for women who are looking for a trusted and ongoing advisory relationship.

Our comprehensive services and corresponding fees will be most valuable to you if you have at least $750,000 in investable assets. If you’re a single woman, in a female-led household, or take the lead in the family finances and you’re looking to delegate your ongoing financial planning and wealth management needs to a trusted advisor, we encourage you to explore our services and schedule an introductory phone call.

Our Client Onboarding Process

We follow a disciplined client onboarding process to ensure all curious and new clients receive the highest level of service. Below is an overview of the steps you can expect to take as we get to know each other better.

  • 1. Sign Our Agreement

After we agree that we’re a good fit and that Curtis Financial Planning can provide you with the services you need (Yay!), we’ll sign an Agreement outlining our engagement.

  • 2. Identify Your Goals

There is always a “trigger” that gets women to reach out to a financial advisor for help. Cathy will make sure she deeply understands what you want to accomplish with your resources before creating your plan.

  • 3. Gather All Details

This step can be a bit tedious. However, it’s necessary for us to know everything about your financial situation so that together, we can create a sound financial plan. Please consider it time well-spent! To make it as easy as possible, we automate much of the process using a digital questionnaire.

  • 4. Develop a Plan

Now, you get to relax and let Curtis Financial Planning do the work of building your financial plan. We leverage industry-specific software and other tools to develop a plan that encompasses all aspects of your finances, including cash flow, retirement planning, tax and estate planning, employee benefits analysis, RSU and stock option strategies, and insurance needs. Once we have put the finishing touches on your plan, we’ll set up a series of meetings to discuss the outcome and offer strategies and recommendations to bring you closer to your goals.

  • 5. Assemble Your Team

As we develop your financial plan, we may determine that additional specialists from the financial services industry can help you bring the details of your plan together. Curtis Financial Planning has relationships with a variety of service providers who can address your insurance, tax, and estate planning needs (and other objectives, as necessary). In some cases, these services are available at very reasonable costs. We are happy to refer you to our network of professionals so that you get the high quality service and attention you deserve.

  • 6. Design & Implement an Investment Strategy

Based on the outcome of your plan, your attitude towards risk, and your personal values, we develop and manage an investment strategy that is tailored to your preferences, needs, and objectives.

  • 7. Ongoing Advice & Oversight

With your financial and investment plans in place, we can transition to the next phase of our relationship: monitoring and managing your finances on an ongoing basis. You can expect to meet with us twice a year to discuss your investments and any changes to your financial situation or goals. In addition, you’ll have access to quarterly investment reports, our monthly client newsletter, and other timely communications to keep you informed and engaged. Of course, you always have the option to set up ad hoc calls and meetings with Cathy as needed. Our goal is to be your fiduciary financial partner, so you can focus on the rest of your life.
