Our Fees

Annual Fee Schedule

Fees are based on assets under management and are inclusive of all services: ongoing investment management and comprehensive financial planning. Our motivation is to grow and protect your assets and to support you in building a financial plan that helps you reach your goals and dreams.  As a fiduciary advisor, we provide unbiased advice designed for each client’s personal financial situation.

Assets Under Management Annual Fee
First $1,000,000
1.00%
Between $1,000,001 and $3,000,000
0.80%
Between $3,000,001 and $6,000,000
0.65%
Above $6,000,000
0.45%

For example, if you have $2,750,000 AUM, we bill 1.00% on the first $1M, plus 0.80% on the next $1M, and 0.65% on the next $750K.

If you don’t meet our minimum of $1,000,000 AUM, we charge a flat annual fee of $10,000 until you reach $1,000,000 in AUM, at which point you pay fees based on our standard fee schedule. In other words, you don’t have to have $1,000,000 to invest, but you do need to be willing to pay $10,000 a year for our comprehensive services.

The annual fee covers all investment management and financial planning services. There are no additional flat or hourly fees.

We do not currently offer one-time financial plans or hourly advice. If you prefer this type of engagement, a great next step is to visit letsmakeaplan.org and search for a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ in your area who offers the services you’re seeking.

Billing Schedule

Fees are billed quarterly and in most cases are paid directly from the client’s account(s). Client account performance is always reported net of fees.

Why I'm Worth It

When you work with me, you get a trusted advisor who knows how to manage money and how to guide you through the financial choices that shape your life. I bring technical expertise and perspective — plus a sense of humor and calm that come in handy when markets (or life) get messy.

A Perspective Shaped by Experience

Before I became a financial advisor, I lived many of the same questions my clients face. For years, I managed my financial life as a single woman — balancing independence, career, and long-term goals. That experience taught me what it really means to build confidence around money.

Now, after decades of advising women — single, married, divorced, widowed, or the primary earners in their families — I’ve developed a perspective that blends practical strategy with genuine understanding. I know money isn’t just numbers. It’s emotional, personal, and often complicated. My job is to make it simpler, clearer, and a lot less stressful.

How I'm Different

Many people assume all financial advisors offer the same thing — but that’s far from true. In large financial institutions, advisors are often evaluated primarily on investment performance and asset gathering, not on how deeply they engage in financial planning. As a result, clients can end up paying the same (or more) for advice that focuses narrowly on portfolios, with little attention to the rest of their financial life.

My approach is different. I built my firm to deliver the kind of service I would want: personalized, planning-driven, and rooted in genuine partnership. I don’t answer to a corporate hierarchy — I answer to my clients. That freedom allows me to spend the time it takes to understand your goals, values, and concerns — and to create strategies that reflect them.

What You Can Expect

You’ll get comprehensive planning and disciplined investment management grounded in research, strategy, and real-world judgment. You’ll also get honesty, humor, and the occasional reality check — because good financial advice should feel both smart and human.

The fees I charge reflect the time, care, and deep expertise that go into every relationship. My goal is simple: to help you make confident decisions and live the life you want — with clarity, calm, and joy.

FAQs

What kind of financial advisor are you?

I’m a fee-only fiduciary financial advisor, which means I don’t earn commissions or sell financial products. I’m only paid by my clients, ensuring that the advice I give is always in your best interest. I’m also independent, which means I’m not part of a large institution and don’t have corporate management dictating specific investment products or services. I build plans and portfolios customized to fit what’s best for you.

What makes your firm different?

I bring a deeply personal, thoughtful approach to financial planning that goes beyond spreadsheets. As a woman and a feminist, I understand the emotional and practical challenges women face when managing money. I provide a judgment-free space to talk openly about your finances, goals, and fears—whether you’ve inherited wealth, recently experienced a life transition, or are navigating a high-earning career on your own. My job is to help you make clear, confident decisions that support your independence, lifestyle, and values.

Are you a Certified Financial Planner™?

Yes. I am a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional. This designation represents the gold standard in financial planning and requires extensive training, continuing education, and adherence to a strict code of ethics. I use this expertise to guide you through everything from investments to taxes, retirement planning, charitable giving, and estate strategies.

Who do you work with?

I work primarily with single women or women who take the lead in the household finances, typically between the ages of 36 and 65, and who are progressive and values-driven. Many of my clients have inherited wealth, while others are high earners. I also have expertise in planning for self-employed professionals.

What is your investment philosophy?

I believe in evidence-based investing using low-cost, diversified portfolios built primarily with index funds and ETFs. Rather than trying to time the market or pick winning stocks, I focus on asset allocation that matches your risk tolerance, time horizon, and goals. I emphasize tax efficiency through strategies like tax-loss harvesting and thoughtful account placement. My approach prioritizes long-term wealth building over short-term performance, helping you stay disciplined during market volatility while keeping costs low so more of your money works for you.
